I was randomly going though myspace and came across roxrite's page, even though I dont break or even if I dont have any say in bboy/bgirl... his blog made sense to the people who actually understand the whole culture. Anyways; read on...

CATEGORIZING BBOYS:
When i read topics about battles that should happen or happened. I always here stuff like "oh there styles dont match so they shouldnt battle hes got too much footwork, he's all power, he's all blow ups," etc etc... thats all bullshit in my opinion. Since when did we start categorizing bboys. How i grew up battling was by battling whoever it was never about if he was a good match for me based on what we did. it was about proving your point that you can beat him in a battle. Doesnt matter what style he was doing. To me thats just an excuse to not touch other fields or really test yourself. Its more like people coming up with an excuse to save there ass.
Im not a "style head" Im not a "foundation bboy" im not a " power head" im not a "blow up bboy" i dont got mad "Flava".... im me im ROXRITE and i bboy period.
NAMING MOVES:
People naming moves after bboys. Dont do this its wrong because a lot of moves have been done before us. Do your research some moves were innovated or created by certain people.. For the ones after the internet era go back some years. dont just be "i dont know the name so its gonna be called the so and so because he did it good".. you fuking up history.. if you online ask, use the internet for a proper learning on the shit you trying to live.
CIRCLE BATTLES:
If you battling in a circle dont battle someone three or four rounds and think you proved a point. 3 or 4 round battles are competition caliber battles or exhibitions. Real battles dont have round limits. BELIEVE ME 3 or 4 rounds is not even a warm up.
